Should I get my Implanon removed?

I'm 22 and have had the Implanon since i was 17. The one I have now is my second one.  I have noticed for the past few months that I'm moody and have little to no sex drive at all - this is really frustrating as I love my boyfriend very much and still find him very attractive - although he doesn't think I do. Its not that I don't want to have sex, the drive is just not there.  I have been toying with the idea of taking it out now for a couple weeks and wondered if its the right thing to do?

Hello there,

You could try having the implanon removed. Does a doctor have to remove
the Implanon. Of course, you would need another form of birth control,
but maybe it will make a difference. Nothing wrong with trying. Eve
