Can the pill cause infections? I take the pill but I've heard it can cause bacterial or yeast infections is this true and if so what do you do if this happens?

I am very sensitive to BV and YI and I have been on 3 different types and I have not gotten one, however ones like mirena (IUD) can cause an infection

I've never heard any evidence for that either, and I've been on some sort of pill for five years now.  The only connection I could see is if you have sex without a condom, you could end up with more infections, and if taking the pill means you have sex more often you could end up with yeast infections, which sometimes are caused by sexual intercourse.  But I don't know of any mechanism by which the pill by itself would cause bacterial or yeast infections.

I've never heard that.  It's never caused anything for me and I've been on it for years.  It makes little sense that it could cause yeast infections unless it somehow upsets pH balance, which I highly am doubting.
