I was diagnosed with a pitutary adenoma 23 years ago---treated with bromocriptine it resolved. I am now wondering if it has recurred. I have expreience weight gain, occassional dizziness, hypertension, loss of hair, and I went into menopause very abruptly. What would your advise be and do you know of any expert endocrinologists in manitoba canada I should be referred to?

There is a saying, once a pituitary patient, always a pituitary patient. You should always be monitored.
Dr Ezzat is supposed to be great and is on the board of a pituitary site.
Do get to your regular doctor as soon as you can for testing and get regular testing.

Was your tumor a prolactinoma? I know these can reoccur after many years. Your symptoms certainly sound hormone related, but whether or not a tumor is involved will need an experienced doctor to determine.

If you have a regular physician, he\she should refer you to an endocrinologist. Insist your physician help you with this matter. Having a history of pituitary tumor, it should be ruled out as a cause of your current symptoms.

Good luck to you,
