A buffalo hump is most associated with Cushing's syndrome and some of the other symptoms you list can be associated with it as well. It takes several sets of testing over time to rule Cushing's in or out and then other sets of testing to determine the source (I had it myself).

Do make sure that your parents work with you and the doctor, and that you learn about testing (there are some links in the health pages to the right at the bottom) that can be helpful. Testing can be an issue as timing of the test is critical as well as how the samples are handled (for instance if you are given a 24 hour urine test, you must keep it cold no matter what they say and ACTH blood tests must be spun promptly and frozen or it degrades and the result is not accurate) can make results not what they are. It really pays to be an informed patient. I also advocate getting a copy of everything.

It can be another disorder - there are others - so you really have to get a good neuro-endocrinologist who will test properly and get to the bottom of the issue.

My name is Riana and i'm 14, i have a buffalo hump that i have noticed is growing. my doctor told me it was a buffalo hump but didn't say anything else. i have an appointment at a real hospital in a few weeks. I also have lower back pains that gradually gets worse when i'm physically active. I also have been very irritable with some very dramactic mood swings. I get bad ached in my stomache after i eat. Any advice? Does cushings sound like it could be the answer?

It is usually helpful to put lab ranges as without them, one cannot tell. Off hand, those look low.
