Is your friend able to go to a doctor and get some diagnostic testing to see if the cause is medical? When thyroid hormones are off, it can really affect the emotions. Has your friend taken her blood pressure when she is getting these feelings of anxiety, brain pain and electrical current feeling? If so, was it low, normal, slightly elevated or very high? The electrical current feeling makes me think she ought to check in with a neurologist, if she could.
Do you know if she has had a Pituitary MRI done? With hypothyroidism and PCOS, I would suspect pituitary involvement. How high are her prolactin levels? Does she have copies of all her bloodwork?
Is the wet feeling a sensory thing, or is there actually dampness on her head?
She should ask for an MRI. Sometimes, PCOS is a misdiagnosis; there is actually a pituitary tumor.
more details : she is 21 years old and suffering from hypothyroidism, mastoid cell inflamation, polycystic ovaries and vertigo.
