Lumps near armpit

I am a 28yr old male, healthy and with no prior illnesses but have noticed some worrying symptons.  I have noticed 2 lumps, one near my arm pit and the other closer to my pec.  The lumps are not visually noticable but when i press down on them, they feel sore.  I have also noticed that the lumps seem to be in different positions, i.e not exactly in the same place but concentratred in a particular area.  I understand that breast cancer is uncommon in men but still possible so i am visiting a Dr very soon but would like some information before hand so i have some possible ideas as to what these lumps are.  Any information anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Simon

I think breast cancer in men is more common that one would think and it is very possible. With lumps such as you describe it's impossible to speculate over the internet without benefit of examination. These could be enlarged lymph nodes or fat deposits or cysts and on and on. A Dr.s appointment for an exam plus a possible ultrasound is definitely in order here so please proceed with that plan. As a rule breast cancer is not associated with painful lumps but the examinaton and investigation is necessary.   Regards ...
