highly suggestive turns into 50%!!!!

Yesterday I met with a breast specialist. After looking at my films and examining the lump himself he said "i'm not as convinced this is cancer as this radiologist is." it is definately cause for concern and does have some of the characteristics of cancer and at the same time he has seen many cases like mine that turn out to be benign. We are doing a needle biopsy first although he suggested we take the mass out regardless. That way if it is malignant he can can open me up once and get the lymphnodes at the same time. He also suggested some genetic testing being that I am 26 w. no family history of BC. My fingers are crossed.

*Oh and if this belongs more in the journal section and not post- let me know. Thanks to all who are thinking of me.

and if it turns out to be malignant, you will be able to handle that too, valerie. I really think you will like the rest of us where it turned out to be cancer. Your surgeon sounds very good, and it is really, really important to have a good surgeon. They  make the biggest difference, in a way.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you too. Each person sees things differently and your Surgeon sounds very diligent and experienced. I would agree; getting rid of it either way would be the way to go. Regards ....
