Hi Lollis,
I am so sorry that you have been diagnosed with BC...but bear in mind that BC is NOT a death sentence. Many of us have been able to beat this disease successfully and so will you,I am sure, because of new technologies and advanced treatments available.
Getting a cancer diagnosis is overwhelming....It's going to be a long journey, but take things one step at a time, follow all your doctor's recommendations and with a positive attitude you can beat this disease like many of us did.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope that all your treatments will be completely successful .
I wish you well and a speedy recovery! .
Hi,
Just to provide an update, Friday I was diagnosed with in situ and invasive ductal carcinoma. It is multifocal and in the same quadrant of the breast. Waiting to hear from the surgeon to talk about the next steps. In addition, the axillary lymph nodes showed thickened mantles raising the possibility of regional metastasis.
Can't wait to have this process started :-)
You are welcome lolis,
I know,it's awfully hard not to know...the waiting for the biopsy results is the worst part! You haven't been diagnosed with nothing yet,but if this turns out to be cancer,we women are the strongest people in the world!
The main thing is you are in the system now and if it is cancer ( I hope not)you will get the recommended treatments planned specifically for you, beat this disease and be well again !
Hugs and prayers sent your way.....
Thank you zouzi!! I am prepared for it to be breast cancer but I am very impatient to find out so that can take the appropriate course of action. Grandmother died of breast cancer.
Hi,
Unfortunately a BIRADS score 5 assigned on your report indicates that the findings are highly suspicious of malignancy, but please remember that only a pathology analysis of the tissue extracted can render a definitive diagnosis. As stated on your report, multifocal carcinoma of the breast occurs when there are multiple tumors in the breast that all come from one original tumor, but often tends to be a less invasive cancer because the tumors have not moved into other parts of the body.
I can understand your concern over this finding....but I really hope that you still have some chances that this could be something other than breast cancer.
Wishing you all the best...
