Hi Vera,
Thanks for the update. I'll be eager to here the outcome of your 8/19/11 appt.
Wishing you all the best,
bb
Thank you again! I got an earlier appointment on Aug 19...I hope it will help!
Hi again,
I can imagine the anxiety you must have felt upon hearing "suspicious for malignancy!" And I'm sure having to wait another 6 weeks or so doesn't help...
Since you have to wait so long for the consultation with the surgeon, I wonder if it might be possible to have your doctor order another ultrasound in the meantime, to see if there is any change. To determine, for example, is the "solid lesion" smaller, as per your perception that "the little ball is almost gone?" (That would be nice!) Or is it the same or any larger, as could be the case if the lesion in question is not the same thing that you have been feeling? (In that case, it might be worth trying to get an earlier appointment with a breast specialist/breast surgeon.)
Just my personal thoughts--you doctor may not agree.
Regards,
bb
Thanks for the quick response. Ultrasound says that i have a solid lesion (0.8*0.4 cm) which is suspicious for malignancy. Though ultrasound was performed when i had swelling and redness, now it's gone. I was recommended to see the surgeon, mammography and biopsy. I will see the surgeon the earliest the end of Aug, or in Sept...
I still do compresses once in 2-3 days, i think little ball is almost gone. Also, about 3-4 months ago i had 2-3 little bumps under my armpit (i think lymph nodes again), i treated them same way. It was gone for 2-3 days. Maybe there's a correlation. It was under my right armpit (same side).

It sounds as though you might have had a minor infection, which responded to the antibiotics and compresses. Lymph nodes can remained enlarged for quite a while, or even permanently, after an infection.
However, what were the results from the ultrasound? Was that where the recommendation to see a surgeon came from?
I'm sure that consultation will bring you some answers. Until then, it wouldn't be helpful for us to speculate over the Internet with so little to go on.
Best wishes,
