I am a basic science research professional. We have been studying many good effects of fish oil (omega 3 fatty acids:DHA and EPA) on reducing breast cancer growth and metastasis, using cultured cels and animal models. We see a lot of potential in this natural therapy and hope to come up with a combination therapy module for patients. One thing is for sure that it does not have any adverse effects and FDA has approved use of fish oil for heart diseases. You can research articles on fish oil and breast cancer for your own interest. I have 2 family members with breast and ovarian cancer at the present. I can understand your anxiety. Good luck. Stay well and feel better.

Hi,

No need to remove your post. It was an honest question, and you were given a couple of honest answers...

By the way, could you explain what you meant by essential oils?

I didn't know if you meant "healthful" oils in the diet that supply essential fatty acids, or if you meant some kind of oil that is applied to the breasts, as some type of herbal or "natural medicine."

Thanks,

I'm sure if one searches enough you could find preventative measures as well as cures for almost any disease known to man BUT ..... one must use some common sense when even thinking about relying upon these claims. If this were true we would have NO Breast Cancer or many other devastating diseases in the world today. A healthy lifestyle, diet and regular visits to a Dr.for examinations is the best way to be aware of what is going on in one's body. This of course leads to early detection which is followed by early intervention / treatment for a successful conclusion when we are subject to any abnormal condition. Read as you like but think, think, think and then discuss it with your Physician.
