Firm Linear Breast Lump

I am a 30 year old pregnant woman. I have recently had a breast exam done by my doctor but it was only a psychial exam. And he found nothing suspicious. I have recently found a lump in my breast that i am not sure if it was there before or not. I find it very difficult to do self exams because I have had a breast reduction about 10 years ago I have scarring. The lump I feel seems to be firm and does not seem to move a whole lot. It feels smooth and rounded from side to side but it also feel linear. I have an appointment to see my doctor in a few days and I will have it looked at. But in the mean time I was just wondering if you may have any insight for me. Any sugggestiongs what it may be? Could it be pregnancy related or scarring related. I should mention I also have fibrocystic breasts. Also Does the fact that its firm and not moveable and linear usually mean cancer?

When fibrous breast tissue is present it is likely to be throughout the breast and hormonal changes can also affect any part of the breast. Also your scarring issue can change over time. You state that you have difficulty doing self exams due to the Fibrocystic nature of your breasts .... any testing now would be limited to Ultrasound but this seems to be just more of what you have experienced in the past concerning breast issues.   Take care .....

I just discovered this lump three days ago and I am stressing about it because it concerns me. Sorry but I think its safe to say when a wmoan finds a lump in her breast that shes never noticed before I think for most women that would be alarming. I am pretty sure this forum is for people to ask such questions. Sorry but I am kinda offended by your response. You assume I was talking about the same lump when Im not. And the lump I am talking about does genuinely concern me because of the way it feels and I was just hoping someone could shed some light.

I believe we have discussed this issue several times in December. The conclusion was that it was either scar tissue or just your fibrous breast tissue. I'm not sure why you are stressing yourself over this issue that has been present for some time. According to your numerous past posts you have been examined and tested several times regarding the problem. If your Dr.s don't find this to be of any concern then I suggest, especially in your present condition, that you take their word for it and concentrate on having a healthy pregnancy. Stress is something you don't need to be creating for yourself or your baby at this time.   Kindest regards ....
