I had a sterotactic breast biopsy an Iwas told it would take two weeks to get results.
I've been living with this lump that I've known about for over eight weeks.I'm so worried about it .

Hang in there sissy. I too have been through the ringer waiting...waiting....waiting.
All I can say is imagine a bulldozer shoving it all your worries down the hill. Everytime it comes at you shove it away. This mental picture has helped me. I go on with my life and treat everyday like a gift. Don't waste it thinking unheathy thoughts. Talk about it with us other girls who know how it feels. It's pretty sad when you don't have someone around who really understands, usually it has to be someone who has gone through it.

Hi,

The processing, analysis and reporting of the biopsy sample does take some time. Alongwith that the waiting time for receiving a sample by the lab and then printing out the results.

It is indeed very difficult to actually live with so much doubt and uncertainty - towards the diagnosis. But you need to relax and cam down.

Why was the biopsy done?

Spend your time in other activities and with family and friends to help divert your attention.

Do keep us posted on how you are doing and what do the reports say.

Ask for a copy of the biopsy reports.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
