My (Finding) were, "Innumerable segmentally distributed pleomorphic calcification in upper outer quadrant. Linearity, branching and varying densities are demonstrated, approach the subareolar location...no grow mass seen.
The (Impression) written after my mannogram stated, "Highly suspicious calcifications of the upper outer quadrant of the right breast, which approach the subareolar region but do not definitely extend to the nipple. The findings are highly suspicious for malignacy. Biopsy is recommended. My question is the first appointment I can get as a new patient is 3 weeks. The doctor (radiology) wanted to do a biopsy the next day at the hospital. My MD wanted me to go the an ocology MD ( 3 weeks) and have a surgical biopsy instead of the needle biopsy. Why? Is having to wait 3 weeks a long time?
