Is this lump worth checking out

I have a thickening of the left breast on the upper part of the breast. sometimes it feels like a lump and other time it feel more like a thickening. It is more noticable durring the run up to my period but it is still there once it has gone just less noticeable. I have not got anything like this in my right breast the thickening has been there for the last three months and seams to be getting bigger each month. I have had skin cancer at 22 which i have recovered from now but as the cancer was on the left side of my back i am worried that it may have returned in the breast!  I am only 28 and cant stop worrying that the cancer has come back.

Although it sounds like a hormonal thing I would have it checked out .... GYN would be a good place to start. I would NOT however worry about a return of your skin cancer .... it doesn't work that way as a rule.

Please..please...please call your gyn or primary care doctor and let them know what is going on. Any kind of lump or thickening in the breast is nothing to fool around with. It could be absolutely nothing or it could be something . The quicker you get this checked out the better. Please make sure you get the answers you want...make sure your doctor addresses all of your concerns...please check back and let me know how you make out...my prayers are with you....
