Hey there. Gosh, I'm sorry to hear this but am glad you got a second opinion. What did that doctor say? I'll cross my fingers for the partial breast radiation! Let me know how you are!
Hello massgirl. How did things go? Do you have any updates?
Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. Thank you for your question. Have you had your follow up with your doctor to explain these results? In reading what you've written here by explaining what a calcification is. Basically, a small calcium deposit that is very common and usually benign. https://www.webmd.com/women/guide/breast-calcification-symptoms-causes-treatments#1 However, they attach other words to it. The words attached to yours are course which is the morphology of the calcifications. This is regarding their shape. Another word they use sometime for course calcifications is popcorn calcifications. They are not smooth. Heterogenous means they are in a group. Here is some information that may help https://oxfordmedicine.com/view/10.1093/med/9780190270261.001.0001/med-9780190270261-chapter-38 The take away from that description is that course, heterogenous calcifications of the breast are usually benign. Amorphous basically means a hazy area of unformed calcifications.
However, the biopsy was appropriate to be sure.
What you've written here doesn't seem to have the results from the biopsy, just notes on it. Have you gotten your results yet? Please let us know! I would expect this to turn out fine.
