Thank you very much for updating us :)
I am glad that the Radiologist is going to recheck this little lump next month. There is nothing better than having peace of mind and I hope that you won't have to worry about anything!
Wishing you all the best..
Just to keep you informed the breast nurse called back today and they have decided to re scan me next month (that will be 3 months after my first screening) they don't think it is anything to be concerned about but would prefer to scan then rather than wait 3 years. I am pleased as at least now I don't have to wait another 6 months as I don't think my nerves would stand it. Again best wishes
Thanks very much for your quick reply, I will contact them next week after their meeting to see what they have decided. Once again thanks very much and best wishes
Hi,
Since the lump is very tiny and cannot be located by either Ultrasound or a biopsy I think waiting 6 months to follow-up is not too long, but if you are worried you can always talk to the radiologist to do the recheck earlier.
I also don’t think that the abnormality seen on film was an overlapped breast tissue, because it should have disappeared when you had the second diagnostic Mammogram.
I hope the senior radiologist will soon inform you if this problem can be resolved in a different way after she meets with her colleagues.
I have read and heard many times that simple breast cysts (Fluid filled sacs) can sometime rupture with mammogram compression, so if the lump is really a cyst, it could disappear. However if the lump is solid like a fibroadenoma, it would not go away upon compression.
I wish you good luck and I hope you get good news very soon.
