Mondors Disease????? help

Hi, I am a 27 year old female. I recently found a lump near the inner side of my left nipple. the lump appears to be a vein that travels over my breast and toward my shoulder..It scared me when i found it but i dont have insurance so i did some online studying and found mondors. i beilieve this is what i have, however i dont have the typical cause for the disease..which i see is from breast surgery. I have had no surgery to either breast. where the hard vein is...my skin dents in along the vein...also i have had throbbing shoulder pain for about 3 weeks before the hard vein appeared. is mondors disease ever linked to something more serious? my maternal grandmother had schleraderma..hardening of veins and organs...and my other grandmom had a blood disorder which caused clots so im wondering if this could be a sign of either of those diseases.

I am sorry your good intention to get help did have a better result.

I hope you will be able to get scheduled for a mammo and/or US. If any abnormality is identified, the next step would be to see a breast specialist, who would be familiar will all possiblities (unlike the ER doctor).

Please keep us posted, and if you don't mind, share your age.

Best wishes...

I did go to the E.R..unfortuantly i didnt get there until about 7 didnt see the doctor till around 10 30 pm and then he couldnt order test needed, also he couldnt consult a breast specialist..he told me to contact hospital clinic and if i cant be seen for ultrasound and mamogram within a week or two to come back to E.R during the day when he has more resources...He diagnosed me wiht a breast lesian..and ruled out infection...still a mystery though. when i mentioned mondors he never heard of it. i took a picture of it so ill try and post it on here not sure if i will be able to though. im def going back to the doctors though because his uncertainity made me nervous. he didnt notice a large mass but did notice small masses along the ridge that is forming...

You should definitely follow japdip's advice and see a doctor. Even with no insurance, help is available through health departments, hospital indigent care funds, and other resources.

Meanwhile, here is a link to a previous thread which may answer some of your questions about Mondors:

The only advice I can give you is "See A Dr."  The fact that you have no insurance does not prevent you from seeing a Physician .... there are clinics in most areas where un and underinsured women can be seen regarding any breast issue. We cannot diagnose here over the internet and you shouldn't try to do this by searching either. There is way too much information out there that cannot be understood by the ordinary person and most of it does NOT apply to any one specific situation. PLEASE see a Dr. ASAP .....   Regards ....
