Hi ellie.
That is strange indeed. But mammograms /ultrasounds machines, although wonderful tools, they are not always perfect and can sometimes miss in detecting even a lump that is palpable.
In any case,it's a good thing that you went to see the radiologist, (even though the letter was sent by mistake) had an ultrasound and the lump was discovered..
Your Dr.will surely advise you what has to be done next.
I hope that it will turn up to be nothing to worry about, like the previous one.
Thanks for the update and good luck..
Got a letter to go for an ultrasound today, which I thought was strange as consultant said to keep in touch with gp and any changes he would see me again. Went along anyway and the radiologist was suprised to see me I think it was sent out by mistake and am I glad that it did. The lump is still there they removed another lump which they thought was it at time of surgery I said to the radiologist that it seemed to be further up and he checked and said that was the lump so I thought ok. Turns out I had another one and original is still there. Now will have to wait and see will demand to see consultant as only one showed up on mammogram in Feb 10.
That is wonderful news!! :)
Congratulations!!
Thank you so much for the update...
