Has anyone been told this regarding biopsy

Core Needle biopsy done on a hypoechoic shadowing mass.  Possibly a epithelial hyperplasia without atypia, cyst formation, and mammary fibrosis.  Can anyone shed light on this?

Also, have you ever had a breast surgeon state that she doesn't feel comfortable removing something because it can leave scar tissue and make it harder to diagnose breast cancer?  I was just curious.

Thank you very much for your response.  I appreciate it.  I do not have the results back yet but the doctor threw out those possibilities when asked.  She is going to remove the one lump in left side and keep the right in place as long as it comes back with good results.  Thanks once again.

Since your biopsy didn't show anything of particular concern I'm not surprised at the advice from the Breast Surgeon. Scar tissue can interfere with future testing ... of course if the area in question were determined to be cancerous then that issue would not be considered. I feel that since the findings were nothing to be worried about surgical removal isn't really necessary.  Reards .....
