MircroCalcifications

Help!  I had a stereotatic biopsey for a small cluster.  The Breast Surgeon said it was negative and to follow up in a year.  I am 44 and my younger sister had a double mast. 3 years ago for breast cancer.  Should I see a specialist and should I go sooner for a mamo?  Please help!

If your biopsy results were negative I see no reason to do more except to follow up in a year as recommended. Many biopsies for calcifications do return negative results. If you have doubts about this then get a copy of the Pathology report from your biopsy and take it to your Primary Care Physician for an explanation.   Regards .....

I had a negative stereotactic biopsy for calcifications in 2005.  They were only calcium.  In 2009, they want to do mastectomy.  Keep all appointments.  Keep a close watch on this dcis809
