Hi again,
I had another paragraph in my reply this morning, but somehow it disappeared (??) after I hit the post button: "Have you been to www.tnbcfoundation.org/tnbc/Home.asp ?They have info and forums, including one on advanced or metastic TNBC. (I know you are particularly interested in being able to communicate with longer-term survivors who were dx at your stage.)"
Fortunately, Sue Young55 already cited that site.
I hope you'll be able to go back to your doctor several years from now, to tell him that he was wrong!
Lots of women are still in the fight with metastatic cancers. A friend of mine is on a cruise right now (between chemo treatments) and she's triple negative with mets.

Best wishes :)
You are such a great resource person, blue butterfly, always helping to lead us in the right direction and where the best info lies. Thanks, Katrin You are great, I mean!!!
I, too, am so sorry to hear that you have been diagnoses with metastatic BC...
The Breast Cancer: Stage 3 & 4 Forum (which you can click on under the "Related Communities" heading to the right of these posts, may allow you to connect with others in your stage.
Also, a doctor's reply to a post by Birdies, "Triple Negative Treatment Options," dated 1/3/08, in the Breast Cancer Expert forum, discussed TNBC.
Best wishes...
I don't but just wanted to say how sorry I am you are dealing with all this. best wishes, Katrin
