Taking inhibitors

sfj
I was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive Lobular carcinoma with trace found in one sentinel node. After removal of lump I had clear margins.  I did the 8 rounds of chemo and 33 rads.  I tried Armoasin it was terrible and now on arimidex, just for 1 week though. Already having side effects.  what would be my risk factor of reoccurance if I don't do the inhibitors?  I can't see myself being in pain for the next 5 years!!

Your oncologist should give you all of your risk rates. Call him and ask. He should have already given them to you. I post on the discussion board at breastcancer.org and the girls there go to some other site (sorry I don't know the site) for their reoccurance rates also but check with your doctor first. I to wish someone had a crystal ball. Wish you well.

My Oncologist put me on 5 yrs. of Evista. (Raloxofene I believe is the mfr. name).  It's claim is to be similar to Tamoxofene (sp?) but w/ fewer side effects.  I have been on it for one month, nothing at all to report xcept very mild vaginal dryness.  Maybe a month isn't soon enough to report, but I have to say I am very very pleased.  Might be worth a shot!
