Ultrasonography Report meaning

Dear All...

What does this mean.. I searched internet and found that category 4 is some what dangerous. Does anyone had this type of result and it was false. I am really worried a lot... Please help me and share your experience. I have appointment with breast specialist tomorrow. Will update more later..
This is ultrasonography report. How can they differentiate b/n benign and malignanant without biopsy. How can they see fluid in ultrasonography? I saw the report but couldn't understand except well defined and poor defined.

Relatively well-defined hypoechoic lesion, 6.4mm sized at Rt 10 o'clock area and 5.4 mm sized Lt. 11 o" clock area
--R/O separated fat lobule (category 3)
DDX - benign breast mass such as fibroadenoma
--follow up is recommended
About 8.1, 7.2 mm sized relatively well-defined hypoechoic lesion, Lt 2-3 o'clock area
--Breast cyst, follow up is recommended (category 2)
Relatively poorly-defined hypoechoic lesion with suspicious posterior shadowing, 20.9mm, Rt 10o'clock area and 14.4 mm, Rt 7 o'clock area
--R/O focal fibrosis (category 4a)
DDX - breast cancer, less likely
-- biopsy is recommended.

Thank you..

Perhaps not in your circle of friends but Fibrocystic Breast Condition affects almost half of all women in varying degrees. Some cysts are said to result from Estrogen. There really isn't much that you can do to prevent the development of these cysts. Often it is recommended that you reduce the intake of Caffeine and some vitamin suppliments are advised by some Dr.s. Family history of Breast Cancer would have nothing to do with this cystic condition. I would advise you not to worry so much about this ... you are one among many women who have this condition.   Kindest regards ...

Thank you very much for the information. I met breast specialist last wednesday. He examined my breasts with his hand and marked negative for lump.

I don't feel any pain, any discharge, any lump, no nipple inversion, no rednees  in my both breasts. But during our annual medical check up US shows abnormalities as mentioned in my previous post. I have appointed again for US and mammography on August in hospital as they do according hospital rule to confirm again.

Why did I get these abnormalities. How can I avoid? I have never seen BC in my whole family! I asked all my frds, almost all have normal result except one girl who had only one cyst. But I have 6!! I am really worried a lot. After checking up my health my worries killing me!!! But after joining this grp getting knowledge and lessening my worries. please guide me more.....

Experience is what tells the difference between findings on the films ... there is NO way to differentiate between benign and malignant other than some type of biopsy. When a mass or area is in doubt a BIRADS score of 4 is assigned which requires a biopsy. I wouldn't say that a score of 4 is "dangerous" since many BIRAD 4s do come back as benign after biopsy. I'm sure the Breast Specialist recommended what type of biopsy would be best for your particular situation. Please keep us posted and we will help you to understand exactly what is going on and what you might expect.    Regards ....
