Hi,
Congratulations for the benign finding! I am very glad for you and thank you for letting us know.
Cysts are usually left as they are. If they cause too much pain or become too enlarged, the doctor can aspirate them with a fine needle.(very simple procedure)
Every month, one week after your period starts,do your SBE (self breast examination) to check for lumps, also try to avoid caffeine intake to lessen the pain associated with cysts.
I am sending you a link to show you how SBE is done.

Well,
I guess I am a dodged a bullet, I got the results immediately after the ultra sound. They called them cysts/fluid. Said they don't drain them as the fluid just comes back. I guess this is something to keep on eye on?
Thanks so mush for the positive reinforcement. Very thankful for this forum.
Thanks
Lucy
You should not panic, but that is easier said than done. I just went through the same things, ended up having a biopsy and now waiting for results. Keep us posted.
Hi,
If a radiologist interpreting a mammogram was not able to view a region of the breast completely, the radiologist may recommend additional imaging, including the use of spot compression, to help make a more complete evaluation.
A spot compression mammogram is a type of mammogram in which only a small area of the breast is compressed (by a small plate or cone) during the procedure.
The purpose of a spot compression mammogram is to achieve better imaging of a particular region of the breast. The fact that you are being called back, is very common, sometimes is just the skin that has folded over and looks like a shadow. The spot compression will determine if that's the case.An ultrasound is often followed for an additional viewing if the shadow or spot is still there.
I don't think that you should panic or worry too much...being called back for additional viewing is very common.
Best wishes....
