my cousin's mammorga test impression

Dear Friends,

This is my cousin's test impression.

1.large lobulated calcific in the retroareolar region of left breast ? involuted fibroadenoma

2.enlarged right axillary node with irregular margins and loss of fatty hilum- suggested fnac correlation

There is any symptoms in this result for breast cancer.

Kindly suggest on this please.

Hi Joe,
It's really hard to say if these findings indicate cancer or not...The enlarged irregular axillary nodes and "loss of Fatty Hilum" is suspicious,therefore a  fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) biopsy has been recommended to find out exactly if malignancy is present.Fatty Hilum can also be missing due to some other benign disorders such as autoimmune or inflammatory diseases.
The involuted Fibroadenoma with large (pop corn like calcification) usually indicates a benign lesion,but your cousin should discuss both findings with her doctor to get more detailed information.
Hoping that her biopsy will result in benign findings.
