Bilateral Breast Scan Result - Please help.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this form, just got the bilateral breast scan result today, and I'm quite concerned about what it means. (Sorry if i posted on the wrong part of the forum) Can someone explain this letter for me in a simpler form? or inform me if there is anything i should be aware of?

Basically, the letter says: at 6 o'clock position in the right breast there is an oval solid mass measuring 1 x 0.9 x 0.5 cm. It has a smooth margin. Adjacent to this is a tiny cyst.

In the upper outer aspect of the left breast at about the 2 o'clock position there is an area of shadowing with ill-defined margins measuring approx 1.1 x 1 x 0.7 cm. At the 3 o'clock position there is a second hypoechoic mass measuring 1 x 1 x 0.6cm, again the margins are not clearly defined. At 7 o'clock position there is a 6mm cyst.

The last paragraph is what worries me the most..Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance..

Get the biopsy done.  My lump was 1.3 cm.

It is my opinion and understanding that most areas, masses, etc at 1.0 cm are considered small. By their measurements you are just about at the 1cm mark square. Again, I think you should definitely have the biopsy done. Thgis will give you a definitive answer to what kind of cells are present. Make sure you get a copy of the report, just like you did from the mammogram. I wish you the best and understand that this waiting and the unknown can be so scary. Just take each step one at a time. I know it is hard.

I wish I could be more specific in what this mens, but I can only speculate. I do think it warrants some additional test, like a biopsy. What are the docs saying to do next? The unclear, not smooth margins would concern me as well, but it does seem hopeful that what ever they turn out to be, that they appear very small. I think a biopsy is the only way to know for sure and I hope they will schedule one very soon.
