Concerning redness on breast

About three months ago I had gotten some cold water on my shirt while washing the kitchen sink and when I took my shirt off I noticed  painful dark red blotches on both of my breasts where the water had hit. I had attributed it to my skin issues with detergent and the possibility that the water had "loosened up" leftover detergent since on one all the redness slowly went away but on the left it generally stays at least a light pink but when irritated it gets darker. I worry that it could be IBC as it is a red rash and I'm waiting on a doctors appointment but since it hasn't gotten worse and there is no swelling is it likely to be IBC? Does an ibc rash mostly fade and then come back sporadically?

Especially considering the length of time since this happened I would doubt IBC. Usually there is redness but also pronounced enlargement of the breast as well as a "hot" feeling of the area to touch. This sounds more like a heat/cold sensitivity of the skin. I'm wondering if ONLY water splashed on your clothing or perhaps some type of cleaning solution. I'm not sure what type of Physician you are waiting to see but you might also consider a visit to a Dermatologist.  Here's hoping you find a solution to your problem very soon.   Regards .....
