chemo, yes or no, and which

5 1/2 years after lumpectomy removing a .8mm triple negative tumor, followed by chemo and radiation, I found another lump in the same breast in early March.  This time it was 1.1 cm and again triple negative, grade 2.  Had full mastectomy mid April.  Have received confusing advice from doctors about follow-up treatment.
1. Taxol 80 mg x12 carboplat AUC 2
2. Taxofere cytoxan 4 treatments at 3 week intervals
3. Do not have any chemo treatment, just regular checkups.

Your advice would be very welcome

The second diagnosis is a recurrence, which is the reason the third opinion (from a professor of oncology) was not to do any chemo.

CHEMO!!! Do it!!

Triple negative cancers are very aggressive so don't fight it with your hands tied behind your back! They tend to come back.

Is your second diagnosis a recurrence or a new cancer? Did you have a single mastectomy or bilateral?

Best wishes
