confused still!!

I had to go to my doctor yesterday to get authorization for a ultrasound. the paperwork said
compression magnification view, what does this mean?
since I have density and calcifications does it mean there could be a tumor that they can't see on a mammogram, the nurse at the doctors office said, the paperwork said they saw a spot..............and then she wouldn't say anything else.  since this have happen seems like all of a sudden I have been getting slight pain sensation in the left breast, I am so worried and confused.

my ultrasound
The doctor said it looked normal, but he wanted another specialist to look at it, to be sure, but he said I shouldn't have anything to worry about, come back in 6- months, he said there were no changes from last yrs mammo, it was the difference in the imaging mammo, and the regular machine mammo. the imaging machine brought up larger images and when he compared the two, they were the same.
maybe I can sleep now. this forum is great, it helped me so much to be educated on breast problems, hopefully in the next six months things will be also normal. yesterday I was so stressed going for a ultrasound I was sick of the stomach and so scared, it makes you think about life and not to sweat some of the small stuff, and above all things make sure we know God is always in control of our lives.

We want you to come back ... it just makes it easier if you continue with your first post ... I recall that I had responded to you before and had trouble locating that first exchange. you certainly did nothing wrong and I'm sorry if I made you think that you did. often on these repeat views (spot compression) the area will (as they say) compress out and not even be visible on these magnified views. Please let us know the results when you have your recommeded films. It's a great help to us and to others as well when we can follow-up with you after your final films. Many women read the postings by others in addition to asking questions themselves.  Kindest regards ...

It would help us if you would continue on your previous post rather than posting anew... that way we can refer back to the questions and answers:
A spot magnification is another mammographic view that concentrates on one specific area that wasn't entirely clear on the previous film. It does not mean that there is a tumor that can't be seen or anything else in particular. Often it is merely an area of breast tissue that has folded over on itself and will be gone after spot compression. I doubt the pain has any relevance here. Please have your additional films before thinking too far ahead about this.   Regards ....
