post stereotactic biopsy pain

I also have post stereotactic biopsy aches and pains almost 4 months later. I actually had two stereo biopsies because the first Dr. didn't get the area that was needed...developed a hematoma which they failed to mention could happen and what to do then I traveled out of state to a Dr that did a wonderful job...still developed a hematoma but not as bad this time around but I do have aches and pains off and on in that breast. I guess my questions are, should I still be having pain this long after the procedure?  Can my monthly period enhance the aches and pains in that breast? Fir those of you that have had this procedure, does that breast feel differently from the other breast months later? Thank God mine came out benign for microcalcifications. I do have fibrocystic breasts which I'm not sure has anything to do with the breast pain on the biopsy side or not.
Thanks to all who share their experiences.

Hi again,
The pain could also be due to scar tissue that has developed when you had your biopsy. If you notice a lump and that the pain is increasing you could ask your doctor to order an Ultrasound to see if your discomfort is caused by scar tissue .
Fibrocystic breast condition could also cause pain  which tends to be bilateral but sometimes you can have more Fibrocystic involvement in one breast than in the other. You may also feel a lump or lumps within the breast tissue and the vast majority are harmless. Most often they could be cysts or Fibroadenomas (both benign) These lumps are very common and are  known to increase in size and tenderness due to hormonal changes.

P.S. Please,do not start a new thread if you have any additional questions or comments. It would be better if you keep them on the same thread by using the space below the answer/s you have received. This helps to have all your information together so we can better help you.
Thank you
