steriotactic needle biopsy site not healing

had a stereotactic needle biopsy on Oct. 28, 2008 which was benign (calcifications). The site is taking too long a time to heal.  The site is under the breast, which is a hard place to heal. What can I do to speed up the healing process?

Have kept it dry (except for showering) and covered with one of those no stick 2 by 2 gauze pads with antibiotic cream and taped the pad with Johnson and Johnson cloth tape.I change this pad twice a day and before I go to bed. Not wearing a bra except for the times I go out. Seems to be healing now. So thank you everyone for the good info, it really helped.

Other than keeping the area completely dry I don't really know what you might do to speed up the process. You might ck. with your Physician for some additional advice in case there might be a slight infectious process going on at the site.  Good Luck ...
