Fantastic news! Please go out and celebrate! And take us with you :)
Thank you-it turned out to be normal breast tissue-the surgeon examined me then I had a mammogram which was clear.
I'm glad you are seeing your surgeon. Though you have no diagnosis you are correct that invasive lobular carcinomas only show themselves as a thickening of breast tissue, not a lump. I'd have them biopsy it to be sure since you had triple negative before. But know that ILC tends to be estrogen/progesterone fed. Please let us know what they say. And don't worry, really. :)
Thankyou for replying-this is my first post on this forum and I am so pleased to be reassured although as you say I will worry until I have seen the surgeon on Wednesday.
Thickening isn't diagnostic of anything except an area of breast tissue that is more dense than other areas. This can mean anything .... even just an increase in the density of the breast tissue which is very common. With your history it makes sense to evaluate it further but I wouldn't be overly concerned at this point. Regards ....
