I'm going to take a wild guess since you are posting here that you are possibly a breast cancer survivor. Bone Island is a benign bone growth but is easily confused with bone metastisis from BC. You don't say what type of imagery you had done but these benign tumors do not show activity on bone scan and this is often used to differentiate between bone island and bone mets. If yours proves to be just the benign bone island, they are usually treated in a conservative manner. Regards ....
