Without your actual images and/or report, I cannot address your specific situation but I can give an overview of the general sequence of events. If a screening mammogram shows a questionable abnormality, the patient is recalled for a diagnostic mammogram. Workup of focal asymmetry and/or architectural distortion includes spot compression views. If the abnormality presses out, this is suggestive of normal superimposed fibroglandular breast tissue. If the abnormality does not press out, this is suspicious and biopsy is recommended. You should follow your doctor's recommendations. Good luck!
