I have been diagnosed with Carcinoid NET of the liver and the stomach and this is the pathology report I received. Initial PET scan revealed a grade of <1, lowest possible grade and very slow growing. The subsequent DODOTAC PET revealed these: what does it mean? My research is not going well and I need some interpretive help.
(1) Metabolically active nodule along the dome of the liver is intensively active with a SUV of 18.7; (2) Central mesenteric mass appears stable-it is intensively active with a SUV of 23.4, more intense than the liver but less intense than value of the spleen; (3) Focal activity involving a portion of small bowel left of midline with a SUV of 12.1 w/remainder of bowl having appropriate activity.
Thanks in advance for any help I can get....
Allan
