Ct scan earlier this yeas found incidental lesions on my adrenal glands the fact that there were bilateral lesions raised a red flag for me . Bilateral hypodense lesions, measuring up to 1.6cm, in the adrenal glands
Should I be concerned?
Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for the question but we're sorry about the concerns you are having. What did the doctor say regarding your CT scan? Is there a reason you had the scan such as having symptoms that prompted getting it done or was this a surprise finding from something else being investigated? It's important to know that these are most often benign. These are most often found incidentally on a scan and are typically non functioning meaning they don't produce hormones. A radiologist should have looked at the lesion to determine if it was suspicious which would prompt further evaluation. 9% of the population has these masses. Typically a lesion less than 4cm is monitored which I suspect is what they will have you do but please clarify with your doctor. https://ccme.osu.edu/WebCastsFiles/1191Adrenal%20Nodules%20-%202.pdf
