Hi. I've had a small darkish patch inside my cheek for some years now, which I showed to a Dr. once, but he dismissed it without really looking at it. I have nibbled on the sides of my cheek since I was a kid (I'm now 45) and I bit my cheek pretty hard a month ago. But I noticed today that there is a lump there next to a round red patch, and looking at it now, its a lot bigger than when I last really looked at it some years ago. I live on a very remote island with limited doctors. There is no dermatologist and only one dentist who isn't very good. I will be in Hawaii in a month. What do you suggest I do? Should I try and have someone look at it there? Most importantly, Is waiting another month ok? I have a picture of it. It's red on one side, and the raised part looks like a blood blister (its a darker, greyish, burgundy colour), but it may not be. I don't know about these things.
