I am not a medical professional.  My wife has recurrent cervical cancer so I have been doing a lot of reading about it.  You did not provide a lot of detail in your question so only a general response is possible--cervical cancer is a highly curable cancer when caught early.

Depending on the stage and where it is, she may even retain her ability to have children.  Stay positive and learn what you can.  You will be mystified by the new words you will have to learn, but you will begin to understand very quickly.
