Worried about testicular lump

I found a small lump on my right testicle a couple of weeks ago, it could be that i have always had it but only just noticed it. I went to see the doctor last week and he felt my testicle and said he wasn't concerned by the lump and that the testicle itself felt normal. The lump is smaller than a grain of rice but hard and on the front of the testicle above where the epididimus joins at the bottom. I think the doctor may think i am a hyperchondriac as i had a ultrasound six months ago for a large lump behind my left testicle which turned out to be swollen spermadic cords and this is the reason why he is not concerned this time? - do you think this could be true?
He also said that the lump would be larger and would also continue to grow until very noticable? is this true that the lump itself would continue to grow? my lump is hard to feel unless the scrotum is relaxed and i think this could also be the reason he wasn't concerned if he didn't feel it correctly.
I am extremely worried about this but feel as though i can not return.

Although the lump on the testicle has not grown i do not understand the abdominal and groin pains i am suffering with. The pain is focused in two places the first and most commonly felt is just above my waist line and slightly to the right, if i put pressure on this i can feel a sharp pain. the second place i have pain is actually in the groin on the left hand side around an inch below the waistline. I believe that these are pains commonly associated with testicular cancer and together with the lump this is why i believe that there could be something more sinister.

Hi.  Yes. A cancerous mass in the testicle will progressively get bigger unless treated.  Don't worry too much about it.  Two doctors have already told you that you don't have a lump in your testicle.  So relax and focus your mind on more productive pursuits.

Thanks for your reply, i have seen another doctor for a second opinion and both agree that it is not cause for concern as it feels more like a ridge and not a lump. This does not explain the groin pains i have been having though and i am still worried.
They both told me that a cancerous mass would be larger on the testicle and would continue to grow. What i really need to know is does the lump itself become larger with time in testicular cancer?

Hi.  You may wish to have your testicular lump examined by another doctor, just to get a second opinion, if you feel you have doubts about your present doctor's diagnosis.
