Cat talks while eating food

Stardust meows while she eats.  It makes me laugh, it is a very muffled sound since her mouth is full.  Maybe she is just a noisy eater.  Does anyone else's cat do this?

Pika likes roast chicken and raw meat.  He don't like fish.  Eiva don't eat raw meat and she likes fish.  They're not going well to each other but both cats play very well with the dog!  Still made me very headache.

yes! both my boys, bob and butters do this!! bob especially so when indulging in sweet sweet chicken. the first time my fiance heard him doing this he was looking around trying to figure out what the noise was-it was bob trying to purr and eat at the same time-sounds quite piggy sometimes!! if my girl spirit has something fabulous, she tends to warn the other 2 off with a rude "eeRRRRRR" while still eating.

Mine 12 yrs old Pika do that too....  He's worrying the little Eiva will eat all his food.  He talks and eats, warns others and eats, looks and "Ng..Ng...Ng..." and eats.  The most both can eat were 4 x 85g Fancy Feast!

Yes mine do this sometimes.  It is so cute to hear their yummy sounds while they are eating.

I was just thinking today of how funny kittens are who growl when eating, it's chomp, chomp, chomp growl, and sounds like "Nyang, nyang, nyang, nyang, nyang."  They don't want to stop eating but they don't want anyone to come near and grab the food, either.  I've only seen a kitten do this, though, to warn off other kitties, and they usually outgrow it.
