Heck yes, it could definitely be diet.  My cat barfed all the time from Purina One.  I'd still try the hairball remedy, it couldn't hurt anything.  Glad I could help!!

Please, check out a thread I started earlier-Anyone Interested in Home Made Pet Foods

I'd like to know what you think!!

Aww thank you so much for telling me this, cuz i was worried....I went out for a couple of hours and when i came back he seemed absolutely fine....I just fed him, i'll see how that goes. Oh and another thing is that lately i've been changing his diet....could that be it too???

I wouldn't stress about it yet.  Does Oliver seem fine other than the throwing up?  Cats will sometimes throw up 2 or 3 times a week-many times it's a hairball.  They sell hairball remedies everywhere.  Or, petroleum jelly(that's the main ingredient in these remedies).  If you give him petroleum jelly-human formula-make sure that you read the ingredients.  You ONLY want it to say petroleum or petrolatum.  If it has any other ingredient do not use it.  I'd give it to your cat every other day--that should do the trick and fix him right up.

One other thing, wait at least an hour after the cat throws up to feed him again, otherwise they'll barf again.
