I have kitty kids but I have never experienced this! Kinda kool!
yes it is cool, but strange ..I dont think she likes the noise of them , she also leaps up onto the toilet seat when its flushed , lol
Cats are very good at making associations and being aware of routines. Most likely it is something that you do that triggers the awareness. Do you take the trash out of the house that morning or the night before or roll the trash bin to the curb? The association could also be with other outdoor cats, stray dogs, or even wildlife who have made associations with the trash bins lining the street and they are out looking for food. If your cat originally had an encounter with one of them on trash day, that could be what she is peering out the window for.
My cats are very aware of all sorts of routines. Everything from what I routinely do just before they get food or treats to my routine when I am getting ready to leave the house.
I hadnt thought about their acute hearing, I know she sees things in the dark I cant see, yes jade that would account for her knowing they were coming, not having had a cat before I really wasnt aware they were this smart, dare I say it but shes smarter than the doggies I had, aww they were adorable also ...nancy we do put the cans out the afternoon before ...gosh it takes intelligence sometimes to figure things out LOL
Ha-ha-ha....Margy, I thought you said "peeing" out the window!
LOl maybe I did It wouldn't surprise me what this cat does ,hahah I am envisioning it ..girl cat would have to sit on the window ledge ,humm I dont know how boy cats 'go' come to think of it...lol not certain I want to either .
Cats and dogs both respond to routines. So, this doesn't surprise me at all that the cat knows when it's trash day. Ever notice the cat knows what time it is when it comes to breakfast and dinner time? Yep, they definitely know.
So Margy. Did you find a vet who you're comfortable with to board Tweety? I think you live pretty far from me, but the big vet down the street from me has those large condos and someone who let's the cats out into a little yard area. I wouldn't hesitate leaving Jade there.
No I didnt I did not like the sound of them , what I have done is arranged for a house/pet sitter well I am checking out the best one, one woman is coming to see me here tomorrow, I have asked they stay overnight, more or less stay here except for shopping/work they have to do . I have the 2 others lined up also and if I dont like any I have time to look for more .It will also be useful to water my garden and bring mail in , so although its not cheap I will feel better at leaving her .Furballs, my tweety eats all day long, I leave the dried food down and also some wet food, so she snacks when she wants to ,she knows when I am eating eggy and hops in for a bite , I think she will miss us , we are so bonded and to think I spent the first few months she found us , looking for a home for her ...obviously without success.
Sorry I meant I didnt like the sound of them in my area , not yours..lol I just reread it ...
Right, I understood you : )
Having someone stay at your home will be better all the way around. I hope you find someone that your comfortable with. Haha...seems like yesterday you were trying to find Tweety a home. I'm so glad you kept her and I'm very sure she's glad to be with You!
you are right I was trying to get her a home, but I had some strange calls ..that was because of this kind of problem, travelling, now it is upon me .I hate dilemmas,I know I fuss about animals ,so didnt get one for many years after my dogs went to doggy heaven . hehehe Jade I can bond with a bug .....
Thats funny, Margy, ha-ha...a bug? Could you bond with a cockroach, lol? I think that's where I would draw the line.....but I definitely think I could bond with a caterpillar. :) ♥awwwww!
well Noooo maybe Not a **** roach and ants drive me potty, humm what month do they start to bug us ? LOL
hey how come they took my c..o..c..k out but not yours ?
Ha-ha....because it's part of the word roach....****-roach! Seeeee! ;)
Oh ***** they did bleep it out. That's funny... we have a lot of cockroaches in Texas, lol
