My cat will not eat her food. This started almost a month ago (it will be a month in 4 days). When she did eat, she would throw it up almost instantly. It got to the point where I would come home and find several piles of puke every where. She won't eat anything now. She barely even drinks her water. I have tried all her favorites, wet food, and even baby food (ground up chicken), but she won't touch it. It's like she knows she'll just throw it up.
I took her to the vet a couple weeks ago. They did blood tests. Everything is normal; her kidneys are fine, lungs and heart good, even her liver (which was acting funky about a year ago) is normal. The vet said that maybe it was a blockage, but she felt around and couldn't feel anything. She said to try some mineral oil. I did, still nothing. I took he back about a week later because she was just getting worse. The vet then compared the blood results to the ones I got from a different vet a year prior. The only thing that raised suspicion on both tests was low lymphocytes. She said she would call the pathologist and keep me updated.
In the meantime, my cat still will not eat. She has lost about three pounds so far. Her bones are noticeable now, which has never happened. Her breathing sounds strange. Yet she still acted normal. If anyone had any ideas, please, let me know. If you have an idea of what could be wrong, I'll gladly listen. I also would like ways to get her fed. My dad keeps saying that my cat simply knows it's her time, but I call bs. There's something wrong with her, and it cropped up out of nowhere, and I need to fix it.
Please, any methods of getting her fed and any ideas of what could be wrong with her. I'm kind of desperate. She's about twelve years old but she's always been incredibly healthy, no problems until recently.
