Thick mucus stinks cats mouth
2 nights ago my cat started having thick smelly mucous from her mouth. She isnt eating or drinking. I took her to the animal hospital last night. They said a respiratory infection. She has had 2 doses of clavamox but is looking NO better. How long do meds take to work.
They aren't instantaneous, so don't worry if she has only had two doses and you have not seen improvement. Are you able to get her to drink a little water? The main thing is to get liquids into her, even small amounts perhaps squirted through an eyedropper, as long as they are constant.
