Our shelter in our city is like that. They won't even adopt out a black cat around Halloween. I think they're afraid of what people might be using them for or that they will be abused or something. It's crazy.
Thanks for the heads up.
Oh Gosh I didn't know that. I once had a black cat. She was very sweet. I'm planning on getting another one. I'll do it after Halloween probably.
Huh, I wish I'd thought of this one. Ah well, you can't be everywhere at once. :)
This is how we ended up with no less than three black cats in our family at one point, as I recall. All abandoned Halloween adoptions. Lets have a happy-black-cat Samhain!!! :)
I am so glad that we dont have a big deal for halloween otherwise we would have idiots doing the same thing.A lot of things that the U>S does Australia follows, hope this isnt one of them.
Oh, I've heard of sickos adopting black cats on Halloween, and doing God knows what to them. I am glad that the animal shelters have wised up!!
Also, it's not a good idea to let your black cat out on Halloween if you actually own one. Hopefully, everyone knows this.
I used to foster a black cat before I moved to live with my grandma. The agency wouldn't even show black cats for the month of October.
