lost part of his tail

my tabby cat is 7 years old.. he used to have a very long  tail.. recentley  from an accendent he lost 5 centermeters  of his  tail by surgery.. is it possiable to  get a  fake  tail  for him?

Sorry to hear about this. What accident happened to your cat that caused him to loose part of his tail ? As far as getting him a fake tail ? I wouldn't .
I agree with Ed34's comments. I learned recently that a cat's tail is actually an extension of its spine. Forget the fake tail. I agree with Ed34 that the fake tail might indeed anger or distress your kitty. I wouldn't put anything on the end of its tail. Just love your kitty the way he is and be grateful that nothing worse happened to your fur baby.   Eve ( one of Sammy the cat's care givers ).

I would seriously just leave the poor cat alone. It might make the cat LOOK better (doubtful), but there would be no benefits. It won't be able to control or feel that section of tail. It might anger or distress the cat thinking something has latched onto it. I guess you could try to see its reaction by putting a sock on the end of its tail. My cats would go nuts, I know that without trying.
