This thing has happened to a lot of other cats and kittens and it's gone away. My grandparents won't take her to a vet either, since they live out on a farm it would too much time out of seeding. I might be able to check her over myself. Do you have any tips on what I could do?

she may have an eye infection...this needs to be checked out by a Vet and if infected an antibiotic eye drop has to be prescribed to protect her vision....could also very well be the herpes virus and she is having a flare up. if this is the case she needs to be on L-lysine an amino acid to help her immune system fight the virus.
can you take her for a checkup this is very important to know what this is.
