Klepto the Cat

I thought you all on the cat forum might enjoy this. In San Francisco, a cat re-named Klepto goes out on nightly raids of the neighborhood and steals anything that isn't bolted down. The neighbors always know where to go when something comes up missing. He has taken bathing suits, socks, toys, a pair of shoes that took him two trips for, towels. you name it Klepto steals it. The news people put a camera on him for a week to see for themselves. You might be able to find this on U-tube. Once my cat Socks jumped back into my backyard carrying someones leg & thigh peice of chicken right off my neighbor's BarB-Q! Have you ever caught your kitty stealing?

My cats "steal".  Only problem is they don't bring the stuff back to me.  I guess in my house it is more like Hide and Go Seek.....they Hide stuff.....I Seek stuff.

I saw that, too.  The owners stack the neighbors' belongings in an orderly manner for the neighbors to retrieve their belongings, too.  Animal Planet set up a hidden camera and caught the little cat burglar on his nightly theft rounds in the act.  It's amazing what that cat drags home.  LOL

Will have to look for this.  And on we go with the mysterious doings of our cats.

Can't remember any of mine, all dropped off or feral, ever bring stuff back to me.  
Except for the occasional lizard, and once a bird.

Think they have all been so coddled by various humans here, they don't feel the need.

yes April I saw that on the news here in Canada too......was that ever cute!!! he must be thinking he's bringing in gifts for his parents!!

Wow that would take extreme 'care' to steal off a bbq and not get burned, when theres a will theres always a way I guess..
I've never had a klepto no....

aww Apple, so the kids are getting into the crime world.....lol.
Yes they sure can root out something thats of limits or hidden, they have a real talent for that..love your stories. :-)

Yes Loreena was born  God-Knows where and survived to!
Once  she appeared home with a meat cake, and twice  with chicken pieces she probably stole from some bricklayer's food - there was a building refurbishing near my home by that time
Since those things do not grow in trees I assume she stole, except if she could convince someone to give her.Anyway, I didnt allow her to eat those, poor one... :-)

Now kids are starting their "life on the crime World"
Just found a vial that was inside my wardrobe ( closed) up my cats post: first saw I thought I had been the responsible for .
Wardrobe is in the same place they are and that fallen on the floor would be easy to understand but NOT up the stuff and without the small bag it had been inside!
Today morning I've  found another stuff near than and the wardrobe's door slightly open!
