Cat is spraying/peeing on furniture/floor...

Hello! We have had this cat for years. He is about 7 years old.  He has been neutered years ago. However, this might be just a coincidence but there have been these cats hanging outside (they seem to find us and know we will feed them, lol). Anyway, our cat has been spraying/peeing too on stuff.  First of all the smell...is just gross we have tried everything to neutrilize it (any suggestions?).  Anyway, we have no idea why he is doing this. He is in perfect health. We forgot to ask the vet the last we had him there about it, because we had other cats there too...it was a pretty busy time there.  So anyway, any suggestions? He has been wanting outside really bad. He acts like he is in heat or something. He is marking his territory or something too.  We just don't know what to do. We don't want to get rid of him. He goes in the litter box so that is not the problem.  We need help. We love him a lot but we don't want this smell to keep coming.

Thank you ahead of time.

Thank you for the help! I thought about Natures Miracle and I think I will order some. The strays outside are so friendly and sweet.  We have someone going to take them in. We had 3 out there and 2 were going to one home and the other as a barn cat but the one is missing and had been out there for months. When they were ready to take, he came up missing.  I just think about him and hope he is safe and maybe someone realized how sweet he was and took him in.  I hope his not hurt or dead or anything else.  Anyway thanks so much, I will def try that stuff. :)

oh you have no idea how common this is and how many kitties are sent to shelters because to it.....these males are only doing what comes naturally they ARE protecting their territory. I have one too!!!
they smell the strays outside and become protective. I know you are trying to help these strays but its best if you are going to continue feeding them that you do so outside of your yard or this will continue.

to remove the odor of cat urine, you MUST neutralize it...this will remove the odor and also help to prevent your kitty from thinking he can 'reuse' the marked areas. you need to buy special products for this, vinegar and bleach will not remove the scent.
go to a good pet store such as petmart or petco..they will have an assortment of products to use. some are better than others so may take some trials, be sure to clean everywhere kitty has sprayed thoroughly.
some names I know, -Anti-Icky-Poo.  or Urine Erase or Natures Miracle.

good luck♥
