With the illnesses, both personal and family, the past few years, I'll admit that the girls did not get to the vet for shots last year, and not so far this year...because our county does require yearly rabies shots, out vet does use the 1-year formulation; I checked the 2009 certificate.
Lots to ponder here, both for kitties, my wife and me.
Tweety had he'rs done a 3 year in 2010 she was very sick for a week so I guess she is covered .
That's maddening. I mean, it seems the vaccinations for our pets are just as potentially dangerous as the ones meant for us. Yet, we're required by law to get the rabies vaccinations. Just the same, it doesn't seem like some pets should be required to have to go through this. For example: what about indoor only cats who can't even get outside even if they tried to bolt? The only "outside" Akira gets to see is from our top floor balcony. I know that some animals can get exemptions. My Ivory was exempt when she started showing signs of IBD.
